Planning granted for Miele centre in Stockport

Muse Developments and German firm Miele has been granted planning permission for a new commercial development at Cheadle Royal Business Park in Stockport.

The 20,000 sq ft building, known as the Miele Experience Centre, will create approximately 40 new jobs and generate significant inward investment.

The centre will offer offices as well as a training and demonstration facility for Miele staff, engineers, authorised dealers and end users.

The development is part of the plans by Miele, manufacturer of high quality domestic appliances, to extend its presence in the north of England.

Tony Stephens, director of facilities at Miele, said: "Our first experience centre, launched at Miele's UK headquarters in Abingdon, has proved to be extremely successful. We're now looking to build on that success and extend our leading edge dealer training facilities throughout the rest of the UK."

Cheadle Royal is already home to international brands such as Nike, Capita and DeVere.

Miele are represented by VSL, with DTZ and Lambert Smith Hampton acting for Muse Developments.
