Place event: Chester Development Update

Cheshire Breakfast SeriesDelegates at the latest Place North West Cheshire West & Chester Development Update will hear from Cllr Mike Jones, leader of the council, Henry Owen-John, regional director of English Heritage and Rita Waters, chief executive of Chester Renaissance.

The free-to-attend breakfast at HQ Chester on 7 October will focus on the theme of development in Chester and examine the challenges and opportunities facing the city and provide an update on progress at key sites.

The event, sponsored by Places Matter!, DTM Legal and Marketing Projects takes place from 7.30am to 9am in the offices of Cheshire West & Chester Council.

Follow-on breakfasts will take place during the coming months in other venues around the borough to discuss the council's other regeneration priority areas: Rural Cheshire, Weaver Valley and Ellesmere Port.

October's event is the second development update held with Cheshire West & Chester Council, following a successful event earlier this year in Ellesmere Port. Cllr Jones outlined the cost-saving and revenue-raising plans for the authority and pledged to overturn the traditionally cautious approach to development.
