National Grid launches Voltage Park JV search

DTZ, acting on behalf of National Grid Properties, is seeking a joint venture development partner for Voltage Park in Partington.

The site extends to more than 67-acres and has outline planning consent for 1m sq ft of industrial development, including space for a 300,000 sq ft unit and another of 200,000 sq ft.

DTZ was appointed by the National Grid in April 2012 to dispose of the freehold on the entire estate, either in whole or in parts. National Grid will now be seeking a partner to progress with the development of the site.

Tony O'Keefe, director of DTZ's North West industrial agency, said: "This is the largest industrial joint venture selection exercise in the region at the present time. Given the current scarcity in deliverable development sites in the Greater Manchester area, Voltage Park offers a rare opportunity to redress this supply imbalance."
