MCR adds DTZ to Portland Street

MCR Property Group has appointed DTZ to market 9 Portland Street in central Manchester.

Formerly known as Magnum House, 9 Portland Street contains 55,000 sq ft of offices across six floors.

Tenants include claims management company Merlin Professional Claims Services and Volker Rail.

The property has undergone a refurbishment and was used by GMPTE, known now as Transport for Greater Manchester, before its relocation to Argent's Piccadilly Place.

Rob Yates, director of DTZ's office agency in Manchester, said: "The accommodation is available at a quoting rental of £15-£17.50/sq ft and suites are available from 2,886 sq ft to whole floors of 11,927 sq ft. The pragmatic approach MCR is willing to adopt means that the building is well placed to capture demand in the current market."

DTZ replaces WHR and will act as joint letting agent with existing agent CB Richard Ellis.
