Manchester seeks contractors for drainage service

Manchester City Council has published a tender to support its 'in-house' drain clearance service.

Tenders will be required to cover peaks in workload and 'out of hours' emergencies.

Work involves the use of a wagon, compressor, high pressure water jetting unit, roller, vibrating plate, and abrasive saw.

Tasks to be undertaken includes the use of closed circuit television technology and electronic tracing equipment.

The contract is for three years with an option to extend for up to a further year. Deadline for submitting tenders is Monday 22 June.
