Linden Homes wins Ellesmere Port consent

The housebuilding arm of Galliford Try has been granted planning permission for 141 homes on the site of a former greyhound stadium at Ellesmere Port, advised by Euan Kellie Property Solutions.

The proposals include 96 homes for the open market, and 45 affordable houses, with a mix of one bedroom flats and two, three and four bedroom houses. The scheme also includes open space and new access points will be provided to the development off Thornton Road.

As part of the negotiations that took place with Sport England during determination of the application, due to the loss of a former playing pitch on the Stadium site, it was agreed Linden Homes would make a financial contribution that will lead to the provision of a replacement playing pitch on land to the south at Stanney Grange.

Euan Kellie, director of Euan Kellie Property Solutions, said: “The council unanimously supported our client’s proposals. The scheme has been subject to detailed discussions over the past six months and granting planning permission will enable our client to deliver a very important residential development in a very important part of Cheshire West.”

The scheme was designed by BM3 Architecture.
