Legacie bolsters management team

Legacie Contracts, the construction arm of Liverpool-based Legacie Developments, has appointed three directors as it looks to deliver on a series of projects across the city.

Chartered accountant Ian Waterson has secured the role of finance director after a spell working as chief financial officer at freight operator Swiss Marine.

Paul McGowan has joined from Vermont as construction director, with more than 30 years of management experience within the industry, controlling schemes valued up to £70m across numerous sectors. He is a chartered construction manager and recently headed the X1 development on Sefton Street.

The third director post sees Ian Williams, who has worked at Legacie since its foundation, taking on the role of commercial director. He has more than 30 years of experience in commercial management of construction projects and has been intrinsic in the success of the company, Legacie said.

Legacie Contracts is currently on site delivering projects including Ropemaker Place on Renshaw Street and Water Street’s Reliance House, comprising more than 200 apartments, and is scheduled to start on a further four schemes in Liverpool by early 2019.
