Lancaster Uni names engineering framework partners
Lancaster University has named the bidders successful in making its civil and structural engineering services framework, a group of suppliers that will support the university’s anticipated capital spend of £159m on projects over the next four years.
The lots are divided into value bands, with Lot 1 covering projects up to £4m; Lot 2 covering projects up to £20m and Lot 3 covering those up to £60m.
Five companies have been named to the frameworks for both the medium-sized projects of £4m to £20m and the large projects of between £20m and £60m. London-based Waterman Group, Leeds’ WYG Engineering and Curtins Consulting make the list, along with Arup and BDP.
Liverpool-based Sutcliffe Projects makes the four-strong list for the smaller projects in Lot 1, along with Waterman, WYG and Curtins.
The framework covers engineering services, architectural services, urban planning, landscape engineering and related scientific and technical consulting, along with technical testing and analysis services.
The university has ambitious plans, including a 200,000 sq ft project at its highly-regarded Management School. Feilden Clegg Bradley is the architect on this scheme, which includes demolition, new build and refurbishment works at the Bailrigg campus.
