Magnitude Land, a joint venture between developers Tritax Symmetry and Northern Powerhouse Land, has submitted outline plans for the next phase of warehouses at its Middlewich scheme.
The JV is seeking permission to add 867,000 sq ft of logistics accommodation on land south of Cledford Lane and west of the proposed Middlewich Eastern Bypass.
If approved, the latest phase would take the total consented space at Ma6nitude to 1.5m sq ft.
The application is aimed at enhancing the range of accommodation available at Ma6nitude and capitalising on the creation of the bypass, to be built just off Junction 18 of the M6, the joint venture said.
This year will also see the development of a new facility for sweet confectioner, Swizzels. with the first 158,000 sq ft of 458,000 sq ft being delivered this year.
Elsewhere within the development, Magnitude Land is speculatively developing a further 190,000 sq ft of logistics space off Pochin Way, having accelerated construction of the consented units in response to growing demand for industrial space.
The joint venture is being advised by project team including Avison Young as planning and EIA consultants, AEW Architects, civils and infrastructure specialist SGI, and Eddisons Highways consultants.
Savills, B8RE and Legat Owen are joint agents for the scheme.
