Johnston builds portfolio with Leigh deal

Bolton-based property investor and developer Nigel Johnston has acquired Halton House, Green Fold Way, Leigh for £1m from AW Window Frame.

The 20,000 sq ft industrial warehouse is on an estate with transporters Norbert Dentressangle Group and Volex, a leading producer of interconnect cable assemblies.

Debbie Roberts, property partner of KBL Solicitors of Mawdsley Street, Bolton, who advised Johnston, said: "KBL have worked with Nigel Johnston on several deals over the last few years. I'm pleased to see his continuing growth during these difficult times and am delighted to have been involved in another successful transaction."

Johnston has a portfolio of commercial property in locations throughout the North West. He said: "The current economic climate presents a good opportunity to acquire property in what has become buyers' market. This purchase was a strategic move to continue to strengthen our property portfolio."
