JD and Bank sign at The Rock

JD Sports and Bank have signed at the Rock, the £350m retail and leisure development in Bury.

JD Sports will trade from a 9,250 sq ft store over two levels. Bank has taken 5,300 sq ft at the entrance the scheme.

Developer Hammerson said the new signings take the development to over 75% let by space. The Rock opens on 16 July.

Richard Poyser, Hammerson assistant director retail leasing, said: "JD Sports and Bank are trading exceptionally well and both brands are a great addition to the centre's high street fashion mix. We are making strong progress on securing tenants and reaching 75% let is an important milestone ahead of the opening this summer."

The Rock is anchored by Debenhams and Marks & Spencer. There will be eight other large stores let to Next, River Island, Peacocks, H&M and Primark among others. Leisure operators secured include Vue, AMF Bowling and Pizza Express.
