Irwin Mitchell hires Hanlon

The Manchester office of law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed Paula Hanlon as a senior associate within its real estate team.

Hanlon’s experience includes working as a partner at Hill Dickinson, along with spending time as in-house legal director at Maghull Group, run by her brother Michael Hanlon. She has also worked at DLA Piper and Brabners.

A graduate in urban estate management, Hanlon’s expertise is development-orientated, having been involved in a range of residential, office, retail and leisure development projects including site assembly, funding and disposal.

Real estate partner Roy Beckett said: “We are focussed on investing in our real estate team here in Manchester and I’m delighted to welcome Paula to Irwin Mitchell. She has a great deal of commercial property expertise and ‘ve no doubt that she’ll be an asset to the business.”

Irwin Mitchell has this year relocated its Manchester office from Bauhaus on Quay Street to One St Peter’s Square, where it agreed a 15-year lease for 33,300 sq ft, taking up a floor and a half at the landmark building.
