ING Real Estate has secured its first client at the second phase of Merlin Park in Trafford Park, with UTI Logistics taking a 62,000 sq ft unit.
UTI agreed a 10 year lease at £5.50/sq ft for the largest unit on Merlin Park Phase 2, which totals 126,000 sq ft of new warehouse accommodation.
Merlin Park was acquired by ING Real Estate from Beva Investments and the first phase, totalling 108,584 sq ft, is fully occupied with occupiers including Spectrim Distribution and Charles Kendal Freight.
Andy Lynn of joint letting agents, Davies Harrison, said: "Merlin Park is one of the most popular and high profile schemes in Trafford Park. We have significant interest in the remaining two units of 34,000 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft and despite the current uncertainty within the economy, occupier demand remains strong as companies continue to either expand or look for new premises."
