HOW retained on Bluemantle housing scheme

HOW Planning has been appointed by Cheshire-based developer Bluemantle to advise on a large new residential-led development in Holmes Chapel.

Bluemantle is planning to transform the former factory site owned by Sanofi Aventis and Rhodia on London Road and Station Road, vacant since 2005.

Gary Halman, partner at HOW Planning, said: "Bluemantle plans to transform what is currently an unused, vacant site into an exciting new, high quality development. The site is very well located on the edge of the village and new homes and employment uses here will help support the village centre and its facilities, as well as provide a good mix of family orientated homes including affordable housing."

Simon Isherwood, director of Bluemantle, said: "We are delighted to be working with HOW Planning again. They have carried out a lot of work in the area and understand the importance of preparing a high quality scheme which will command the support of the community and will achieve planning permission. We are keen to see development of this site and for its regeneration to start as soon as possible."
