Hogg takes over at JLL

JLL has announced Steve Hogg as its new lead director in the North West, with David Lathwood taking on the role of chairman after 30 years as head of the region.

As lead director for JLL’s regional residential business, Hogg has overseen a team of 65 residential consultants working across six cities. He will take the lead of the Manchester office, JLL’s largest commercial office outside of London, on 1 July.

During Lathwood’s time at JLL he has built the office from eight consultants to 170 staff. He will continue to provide advice and support to the North West team and help develop and diversify the business in the region.

He is also a non-executive chairman at Landmark Investments Group, an independent advisor to NM Rothschild and is on the board of internet services provider Telcom Group.

Hogg said: “Having been with the firm for 15 years, it’s fantastic to see the growth and continued success of our Manchester office.

“The city itself is firmly on the world stage and has an increasingly impressive property sector. At JLL we’re working with a huge variety of clients to support them in the North West and it’s an exciting time to be taking on this new role.

“I know everyone in the office will want to thank David for his tenure as lead director and express their gratitude for him continuing on as chairman.”

Lathwood said: ‘’Having originally joined King & Co in 1986, the changes I have witnessed in the business and the North West region have been nothing short of incredible. This business has evolved over the period into one of the pre-eminent property consultancies and from a personal perspective, I am proud to have played a part in that journey. Steve Hogg has been a crucial part of our evolution and JLL’s North West business is in very good hands going forward. I am looking forward to continuing my contribution to the business in my new role as chairman.’’
