Law firm Hill Dickinson has announced the appointment of solicitor Loraine Adams in the firm's Liverpool office.
She joins Hill Dickinson from the London Borough of Redbridge and prior to that, Eversheds, where she was also a solicitor.
John Holmes, head of planning at Hill Dickinson, said: "We have been extremely busy in planning recently, so we made the decision to appoint a new solicitor. Loraine has already made a valuable addition to the team and we are extremely pleased that as a firm, we were in a position to be able to expand the department, so that we can continue to service our growing client base."
Adams said: "Hill Dickinson is a highly respected, established firm in the North West, with an enviable reputation. This is a real opportunity for me to contribute to the continued success of the planning team at Hill Dickinson. It is also an exciting time to be working in planning, given the coalition government's proposals to amend the planning system and the potential implications this will have for our clients."
