Hammonds construction experts join McGrigors
Construction law partner David Moss and his ten-strong team have left Hammonds to join the Manchester office of McGrigors.
Moss's clients include Manchester Airport, United Utilities, BDP and Alstom. He joins McGrigors with fellow partners Paul Giles and Richard Anderson from the Manchester and Leeds offices of Hammonds respectively.
McGrigors Manchester opened in early 2008 on King Street and now employs 37 staff across tax disputes, energy, infrastructure, regeneration, real estate, banking and corporate.
Moss said: "We were attracted to McGrigors for their strong infrastructure and energy expertise which has strong synergies with our own practice. We were also impressed by McGrigors' commitment to growing its business in Manchester and its early successes in the North West."
Peter Blackmore, a fellow partner in construction law and head of the Manchester office of McGrigors, said: "The recruitment of David and his team is a major coup for the firm and makes us a leading provider of construction law advice in both the public and private sectors.
"McGrigors came to Manchester because we felt we could bring something new to the marketplace including a strong focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. Doubling the size of the office in just two years shows that we've gone a long way towards achieving that ambition and proving our commitment to the city and the North West."
