Greenheys project for Atul Bansal

Atul Bansal of the Sheila Bird Group interior design practice has been appointed by Manchester Science Parks to advise on the design and refurbishment of its Greenheys building.

The new space aims to provide customers with an inspiring, collaborative space.

Rowena Burns, chief executive of Manchester Science Parks, said: "We wanted to create a space that would act as a heart for the park, indicative of the kind of conversation we want to encourage and support – creative, inspiring where members of our community can come together and share ideas, hold events and showcase their products and services."

Bansal said: "The brief was to provide occupiers with a 'space to think', placing an importance on giving the MSP community a place to interact and communicate.

"We can't really say much about what we have been up to yet; apart from it has 'wonder walls' and the largest A-Z map of Manchester."
