Globe wins high-end flats contract

Ormskirk-based SchemeGlobal Properties has appointed Globe Construction to develop a £2.5m upmarket apartment project on the edge of Calderstones Park in Liverpool.

Calder House will contain eight three-bed units and three penthouses overlooking 94 acres of public park and woodland.

Architect Falconer Chester Hall's design features a curved clad facade using a palette of ivory and anthracite horizontal planks, and a contrasting fin cutting through one end.

Ian Threadgold, director of Globe Construction, said: "Opportunities to work on high-end residential developments such as this are few and far between so we are extremely excited to have been chosen as main contractor for the Calder House project. Our expert construction team are already on site and we look forward to handing the completed building over to the new residents next summer."

A spokesman for Schemeglobal Properties added: "Calder House will stand in its own private gardens on the edge of some of Liverpool's most beautiful parkland and has been designed to offer a very private, luxury lifestyle for its occupants. We are delighted to be working with Globe Construction on this project; the firm has a great reputation for completing quality residential schemes across the region and its partnership approach to delivery allows us to be involved in every step of the build programme."

The wider project team includes Muir Group as structural engineer, Delph Projects acting as project manager, quantity surveyor, contract administrator and CDMC, with Environmental Consulting Engineers acting as mechanical and electrical consultant.
