The developer has hired Scott Griffiths from Aberdeen Standard Investments to work alongside directors Richard Rees and Chris Lloyd.
Griffiths joins as a director from ASI, where he had a responsibility for a £500m UK-wide portfolio. He previously worked in the national investment team at Deloitte, where he advised on private equity acquisitions and work on asset management of distressed property porfolios.
He will work for Glenbrook’s investment team at director level with Rees and Lloyd. Recent purchases by the company include the former M&S in Stockport, as revealed by Place North West last week.
Glenbrook director Guy Butler said: “To date, we have had notable success in our investment business working with a select number of family offices and high net-worth individuals. To complement and expand this offer, we are now developing niche investment strategies exploring opportunities in regional markets. Scott has considerable experience in this area and we look forward to working with him to develop this strategy at a very interesting time in the real estate sector.”
Griffiths added: “This is an exciting role providing the freedom to build on Glenbrook’s success and work with investors that share our views on the increasing level of opportunity in regional markets, for dynamic strategies offering strong risk adjusted return”.
