Glaisyers Manchester makes trio of new hires

The Manchester office of law firm Glaisyers Solicitors has recruited three members of staff to its commercial property team, including partner Ross Wellman, who joined towards the end of last year.

Wellman has held senior roles at several law firms over the course of his 30-year career, including at DWF, where he was equity partner, and Vincents, where he was commercial director. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant for Setfords Solicitors, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He has worked on a variety of high value property transactions including site acquisition, commercial and mixed-use developments and overseeing plot sales on behalf of developers.

He has particular experience in hotel and student accommodation deals, agricultural property matters, real estate financing, tenancy matters and wind farm acquisitions.

Glaisyers has also appointed Emer McCool as a paralegal in the property team. She has two years’ commercial conveyancing experience and is studying toward a graduate fast-track diploma through CILEx Law School.

Meanwhile, Sarah Milligan joined Glaisyers’ as a commercial property lawyer last year. She previously held roles at JMW Solicitors and HRC Law after qualifying at Nexus Solicitors.

The three recruits report to equity partner Dave Marlor and boost the commercial property department to 11 staff.

Glaisyers has offices in Manchester and London.

Marlor said: “A year ago Glaisyers was a well-respected Manchester practice but we have made massive strides since then, and now our commercial property practice is taking on instructions from clients based all over Europe and beyond.”
