From Liverpool to Leeds, Walker Sime expansion continues

Manchester-based quantity surveyor and project management consultancy, Walker Sime, has opened a new office in Leeds to handle the firm's increasing client portfolio in Yorkshire.

The move follows the opening of its Liverpool office in November, as well as the launch of a new utilities consultancy service.

The Leeds office will be headed by Kevin Wood, associate director, the company's eighth appointment since January. Wood has 29 years' experience in the industry, and is chairman of the RICS Yorkshire & Humber regional board.

Recent contracts won by Walker Sime include a 55,000 sq ft office refurbishment in King Street for Bruntwood and a £5m residential scheme in Humber Quays. Walker Sime is also close to securing a £3.5m retail park development in Huddersfield for Modus developments and a £40m mixed-use scheme in Yorkshire with Henry Boot Developments.
