WR Estates has secured two lettings at Engineer Park on Sandycroft trading estate in Deeside, one to an existing customer and the other to a new tenant.

International parcel delivery firm Fedex has taken additional space of 10,000 sq ft to expand its depot to 20,240 sq ft. The company has agreed a ten year deal with a five year break for an undisclosed sum.

North Wales Aero Forms has signed up for 8,844 sq ft for a three year term for an undisclosed sum.

Fedex's depot will serve as its main base for North Wales and the North West of England.

North Wales Aero Forms will be using its new premises to service a new aerospace contract.

Richard Doyle, managing director at North Wales Aero Forms, said: "As a supplier to the aerospace sector, logistically Engineer Park is ideally situated; one mile from Airbus and Hawker Beechcraft and with excellent motorway connections. The estate is also very green and pleasant which helps to make for a good working environment."

Paul Wrigglesworth, head of property at WR Estates, added: "These lettings mean that we are now over 90% full, which is testament to the close working relationships we have with our tenants. The estate has experienced a transition over the last 18 months. However, we have used this time to refurbish a number of units and improve the estate's appearance, to ensure it is an attractive place to work and visit. Due to the range of unit sizes available at Engineer Park we are well positioned to allow our tenants to expand to suit their business needs, as demonstrated with the Fedex deal."

The 100,000 sq ft Engineer Park is located on Factory Road in Sandycroft.

Legat Owen is the letting agent on the scheme.
