Enworks wins £8.65m public funding for two years

Enworks, an environmental business support service, has received a £2.55m grant from the European Regional Development Fund and £6.1m from the North West Development Agency to continue its work until 2010.

Enworks is a not-for-profit organisation that helps North West businesses reduce their energy use, make cost savings and reduce their impact on the environment.

Targets for the next two years include assisting a further 1,500 businesses, achieving a further £31m in cost savings for firms, increasing or safeguarding sales by £52m and saving 519,000 tonnes of materials, 125,000 tonnes of carbon.
