DTZ staff see sunny side of ash cloud flight ban

Two members of DTZ's property management team have been trapped in far-flung destinations due to the volcanic ash – but are far from upset about it.

Zabrina Wrigley, part of the corporate real estate management team, is enjoying an extended honeymoon in Dubai, passing the time, say her colleagues, shopping for gold souvenirs in the local markets, or souks.

Janet Donaldson, secretary to the portfolio asset management team, is on a holiday of a lifetime in Western Australia with her family and unable to get home. The Donaldsons are using the time to practise their surfing off the coast of Perth.

A spokeswoman for DTZ said the management team is the largest in Manchester and can easily cope with the slight interruption to normal operations without compromising client service.

She added: "It seems then that for some this particular cloud may have a 'golden' lining as two of our employees have discovered."

Not failing to mention Chris R Lloyd, who’s organisation of a Stag Do to Benidorm was curtailed somewhat by Ash Thursday, and ended up in Birmingham. Bit less sunny

I’m not sure the stag actually noticed the difference.
