Cushmans acquires Petch Hall

Cushman & Wakefield has announced the second retail agency expansion in Manchester in as many weeks with the buyout of retail warehouse specialist Petch Hall

Chris Petch and Andy Hall founded their practice in 2001 and will join C&W as partners based in the Manchester office on King Street. They will form part of the firm's 80-strong UK retail team led by John Strachan.

The move follows the arrival of a new retail agency team led by Matt Illingworth from Donaldsons/DTZ and takes C&W to around 30 staff in Manchester. C&W is due to relocate to Wrather's Zenith in nearby Spring Gardens shortly.

The departure of retail specialist and regional director, Paul Nichols, in July left a gap in C&W's agency offering which Petch Hall now fills.

In April, C&W bought Birmingham-based retail specialist Alston Nock, run by Robert Alston and Stephen Nock.

John Strachan, head of global retail at C&W, said: "Petch Hall is an extremely significant acquisition as they are without doubt the number one retail warehouse specialists in the North, with significant experience nationally. Chris and Andy will be great assets within our retail team and will significantly strengthen our national presence."
