CJC favourite to win Stirling Prize next week

Denton Corker Marshall's Manchester Civil Justice Centre is hot favourite to win the RIBA Stirling Prize, to be announced in Liverpool at the end of next week.

Bookmaker Paddy Power has odds of 10-11 for the striking landmark in the heart of Allied London's Spinningfields to win.

The next closest rival is Westminster Academy, by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, at 4-1, followed by the Nord Park Cable Railway designed by Zaha Hadid at 9-2; Accordia, 5-1; Royal Festival Hall, 10-; and Grimshaw's Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena Station 12-1.

The awards will be announced at a televised dinner hosted at the Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool on Saturday 11 October.
