City prepares Garston development plan

Liverpool City Council is seeking to appoint consultants to prepare a masterplan for Garston in south Liverpool.

The development area takes in Garston Village and Garston Under the Bridge as well as the short sea Port of Garston, controlled by Associated British Ports.

Garston is part of Joe Anderson's South Liverpool Mayoral Development Zone, which will attract dedicated funding and focus.

The consultant appointed will identify development opportunities and recommend solutions. The plan will inform future planning policies.

The tender process is being run through The Chest (Due North) system. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 18 December.
