Cheshire Oaks sale enters final round

Four rival investors have been shortlisted to buy the limited partnership that owns Cheshire Oaks, the 1.85m sq ft retail outlet village near Ellesmere Port.

Cheshire Oaks, managed by McArthurGlen, was put up for sale earlier this year as part of a £400m portfolio of UK factory outlet centres owned by a fixed-life partnership whose stakeholders include Morley Fund Management, BAA, Ropemaker Properties, AXA and Liquid Realty. The partnership is due to expire at the end of this year.

The shortlist comprises:

  • Chester Properties with Apollo
  • an undisclosed Spanish outlet operator
  • Henderson
  • Moorfield

Also in the portfolio are the 208,000 sq ft Swindon Designer Outlet in Wiltshire, and the 228,000 sq ft Bridgend Designer Outlet in Wales.

CB Richard Ellis is handling the sale.
