Chalcraft joins MLP
Property lawyer Stephen Chalcraft has joined Altrincham- based MLP to head up the firm’s real estate and built environment team.
Chalcraft has previously held numerous roles within real estate law in Manchester, having been a partner and head of real estate at Pannone for six years. He also spent a year with Shakespeare Martineau as a partner, leading on regeneration and development projects, a role he left in March last year.
As well as his roles with Shakespeare Martineau and Pannone, he has also held voluntary roles with Pro Manchester and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
In his new role, he will work across MLP’s four North West offices, advising on all aspects of commercial property law, development, and regeneration.
Stephen Attree, managing parter at MLP Law said: “Stephen has an excellent and well-earned reputation not only in the property sector, but the Manchester legal scene as a whole. 2018 was a brilliant year for the firm and with Stephen joining us, we feel like we are starting 2019 on a high.”
Chalcraft added: “I was attracted to MLP Law for its highly professional reputation and vibrant atmosphere. It’s also in a great geographical location and is ideally placed to attract good quality clients and legal staff who no longer want the aggravation of the city centre. The firm is on an unmistakable growth curve, and I’m really excited to be part of it.”
