Celebrate Cheshire business expo to be held in September

Place North West has joined a host of companies including Pochin, Grosvenor, Bentley Motors and MEPC to support Celebrate Cheshire – a two-day expo to promote the county's business credentials.

Celebrate Cheshire will take place at Chester Racecourse on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 September with the first day aimed at business networking and the second for the public to access employment and training opportunities.

Place North West will host a seminar during the Friday around the theme of property and regeneration in Cheshire; details to be announced nearer the time.

Organised by Marketing Cheshire and Cheshire Business Leaders, the event will mark one of the first key projects backed by Cheshire and Warrington's new Local Enterprise Partnership.

The aim of the expo will be to highlight the 'Cheshire Factors', which have contributed to the sub-region's success as the strongest economy – worth more than £22bn – in the North West of England and will set out Cheshire's compelling proposition for economic investment and business relocation to as wide an audience as possible.

Andrew Donaldson, founder of Cheshire's Big Storage Company and chairman of the event's organising committee, commented: "The event has been made possible by a genuine and effective partnership approach, by everyone working collectively towards a common objective.

"We have brought together many of the major companies in Cheshire, alongside its innovative and hard-working SMEs, to fully support us in all ways – including backing the event financially."

Firms committed to taking showcasing their skills and products at Celebrate Cheshire so far are: Phoenix Medical Supplies, Pets at Home, Growhow UK, Stobart Group, Johnson Service Group, Holidaybreak, Meadow Foods, Morning Foods, Bank of America, EA Technology, European Metal Recycling, Frank Roberts & Sons, AstraZeneca, Manchester Metropolitan University, Bodycote, United Utilities, Pochin, Siemens, Marks & Spencer Money, Bentley Motors, Grosvenor Estate and Urenco.

All these seminars are great but sooooo expensive to attend!!!!

Monica – There are no plans to charge for this event. There would be a cost in terms of time out out of the office but hopefully this would be amply repaid in terms of business leads and market knowledge gathered from attending.
