Carluccio’s opens festive food store

The Italian restaurant and deli operator is to open a pop-up food store on Liverpool ONE's Paradise Street for the Christmas period.

The 1,152 sq ft store is due to open on Thursday and will remain open throughout the Christmas period. The store will stock a range of festive foods and gifts from Carluccio's.

Carluccio's follows Harvey Nichols in selecting Liverpool ONE for a Christmas pop-up. For the fourth year running, Harvey Nichols has brought its Foodmarket to Liverpool ONE's Manesty's Lane. The pop-up is next to the unique Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols and Michael Kors, which opened its first store in the North West on Liverpool ONE's Peter's Lane at the beginning of October.

Miles Dunnett, head of asset management, Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: "We are continually seeking interesting concepts to add to Liverpool ONE's unrivalled mix of great brands. Carluccio's fits the bill perfectly, bringing to Liverpool ONE a range of high quality gifts that complement our wider offer. Together with Cath Kidston's new store, other additions such as the Harvey Nichols Foodmarket, and our unique ice bar and ice rink, Liverpool ONE will be the regional destination of choice for consumers this Christmas."

Simon Kossoff, Carluccio's chief executive, added: "Liverpool ONE is the perfect location for a Carluccio's pop-up. The position of our Christmas pop-up will bring the Carluccio's brand to an even greater number of consumers from across the region to drive additional sales this Christmas."

Meanwhile, Cath Kidston has opened its new 2,070 sq ft store on Liverpool ONE's Paradise Street. Relocating from School Lane, Cath Kidston has brought its latest store design to Liverpool ONE.

Carluccio's and Cath Kidston will also be joined by Côte this December. The French brasserie chain is opening a 2,707 sq ft restaurant split over two levels and with an outside terrace on Paradise Street. Tortilla also makes its North West debut in Liverpool ONE with its new 2,259 sq ft restaurant on Lord Street opening on November 24.

Liverpool ONE and Carluccio's both dealt directly.
