Calico appoints tender lead

Burnley-based housing association Calico Homes has appointed Derek Kettlewell from rival Foundation as head of new business, support and related services.

Kettlewell will take the lead on tendering and winning new business, working with Stephen O'Hagan, head of advice and support, who will focus on developing and delivering existing services and relationships, and implementing any new business that Calico wins.

Ed Barber, managing director of Calico, said: "While we have been successful in retaining and winning new business over recent years, tendering for support contracts takes a lot of resource and expertise.

"By appointing Derek, we will be able to manage and develop existing services and relationships effectively, whilst also winning new business, helping us fulfil our very high growth ambitions."
