BWB builds Manchester offer with new hires
Engineering consultancy BWB has added two disciplines to its Manchester offering in making five appointments, bringing its complement of technical staff in the Carver’s Warehouse-based operation to 23.
Karen Dempster has joined the company from WYG to lead on sustainable built environment, while Mike Barrett comes in from WSP Parsons Brickerhoff as principal acoustic consultant.
The office has also hired senior engineers in its structural and civic engineering teams; Georgios Rozis joins BWB from Mott MacDonald and brings 12 years’ experience as a structural engineer. Philip Barrett joins from WML Consulting and likewise brings 12 years’ experience, as a civil engineer specialising in drainage design. Jonathon Taylor has joined BWB on an apprenticeship as a trainee technician.
The Manchester office was established in 2008 by regional director Robert Henshall. He said: “The addition of acoustics and sustainability services means that we can deliver multi-disciplinary projects in-house without the need to outsource to other offices or companies.”
Local clients include Peel, Land Securities, Muse and Seddon.
