Broomfield buys in Bury

Greeting cards company Max and Sid has sold a 5,300 sq ft industrial unit in Waterfold Business Park, Bury to investor Broomfield Estates for an undisclosed sum.

David Nuttall of Nolan Redshaw, advising Max and Sid, said: "There is always a strong level of enquiries when a property becomes available at Waterfold. No location is recession-proof, but there certainly is an argument to say that Waterfold has weathered the storm better than some other locations in the North West."

Altrincham-based Broomfield Estates is now offering the unit on a leasehold basis. Other tenants at Waterfold Business Park include chilled food firm Dunsters Farm, College Sewing Machines and cable company Roxtec. The park is also home to a Village Hotel and a 40,000 sq ft office development.
