B&M signs in Bolton

Agents Riddell TPS and Cheetham & Mortimer have let a 31,000 sq ft former Focus unit at Central Retail Park in Bolton to discount retailer B&M Bargains.

Acting on behalf of the administrators for Trostre Retail, Riddell TPS secured the letting, agreeing terms on a 15-year lease.

B&M Retail currently fitting out the store and is expected to open at the beginning of June. The unit is the largest on Central Retail Park. B&M Bargains joins Brantano, Pets at Home, Maplin and Carpet Right.

Andy Crompton of Riddell TPS said: "B&M's letting at Central Retail Park continues an emerging trend in the retail property market, with value stores remaining buoyant during challenging times for the high street. With households facing both soaring food and fuel prices consumers are making more considered purchases by looking to discount retailers like B&M Bargains."

B&M Retail Ltd was established in 1976 and currently has 280 stores throughout the UK and employs 10,000 staff.
