Beresford Adams agrees Gareth Williams merger

Beresford Adams Commercial has strengthened its market share in North Wales by acquiring Rhyl-based agency Gareth Williams Commercial.

The Rhyl office of Gareth Williams Commercial will be rebranded BA Commercial Gareth Williams, while Beresford Adams Commercial's board of directors will expand from two to five members.

Existing directors Justin Rice-Jones and Fraser Crewe will be joined by Gareth Williams, who brings 42 years' experience within the North Wales commercial property market to his new role. He will be joined as a director by Beresford Adams Commercial staff Tom Creer and Ruth Fearnall.

Fraser Crewe said that the merger continues the agency's growth in the busy North Wales market.

He said: "We already perform well in North Wales, and this merger allows us to strengthen our brand across the region.

"We're very much looking forward to working with Gareth, who is incredibly well respected and has an excellent reputation across North Wales.

"Almost every board you see in the region is his, and we're pleased to join forces with him."

Gareth Williams Commercial was established in 1990 and has a portfolio of instructions across all six North Wales counties.

Originally founded as a residential agency in the 1960s, Beresford Adams Commercial became independent in 1992 following a buyout led by Philip Beresford Adams and Justin Rice-Jones. The firm today employs 20 staff from its offices in Grosvenor Street, Chester.

Gareth Williams said: "I've known the team at Beresford Adams Commercial for a number of years, and am very close to them both professionally and personally.

"We will continue to offer the same level of local knowledge and expertise in the North Wales commercial property market to our customers, plus an increased range of services.

"Furthermore, the Beresford Adams Commercial team is keen to develop its portfolio in North Wales, and I will be able to assist them with my local contacts and understanding of the market.

"There is a great natural fusion between us, and I'm very much looking forward to working with my new fellow directors and the rest of the team."
