Barton Willmore appoints associate planner

The planning and design consultancy has expanded its team in the North West with the appointment of Vincent Ryan to the role in its Manchester office.

Ryan joins from Cunnane Town Planning in Manchester, bringing an established track record in a range of fields. His recent successes include securing planning permission for a 9MW wind farm in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and for a European headquarters for UK based charity UKIM, which incorporates over 50,000 sq ft of community, education and office facilities.

In his new role Ryan will be seeking planning permissions for new sites in the North West and across the UK, and assisting major housebuilders such as Taylor Wimpey to identify opportunities for development.

Dan Mitchell, partner at Barton Willmore leading the Manchester office, said: "It's great to be able to welcome Vincent to our team. He has extensive knowledge over a wide range of fields, both within the North West and the rest of the UK, so I know he'll be a huge asset as we continue to build our team in the region."
