Healthcare property developer Assura Group has completed a £3m medical centre in Bebington, Merseyside, in partnership with LSP Developments.

The 14,350 sq ft centre houses two GP practices, Kings Lane Medical Practice and Church Road Medical Practice.

The state-of-the-art building provides a range of modern, fit for purpose medical facilities, including a minor surgery suite and rooms for GP, nurse and counselling consultations.

A branch of Averroes Pharmacy is also operating from the site.

Bebington is the latest in a series of completions for Assura Group, including premises in Maidstone and Huthwaite.

Projects are also underway in Harlech, Y Felinheli and Leicester, with a strong pipeline for the rest of 2013.

Amanda Roddy, development manager at Assura Group, said: "Moving two GP surgeries into one building makes vital medical services more accessible for patients in the local community.

"Our focus is on creating top of the range facilities for GPs, that are fit for the purpose of delivering primary care in the 21st century.

"The Bebington medical centre certainly fulfills that goal."

Phil Lilley, director at LSP Developments, said: "We're very pleased to have completed yet another successful project in partnership with Assura Group, and are looking forward to embarking on our next venture."

Architect West Hart Partnership designed the scheme, with W. H. Snow appointed as contractors.
