Infrastructure services firm AECOM has added two senior figures to its Cumbria team, bringing in experts in nuclear decommissioning and environmental remediation.
Graham Beaven has joined the company as associate director. With 30 years’ experience in the nuclear sector, he will be responsible for expanding AECOM’s service offering in radioactive waste management. He joins AECOM from Dounreay Site Restoration, the company responsible for decommissioning the UK’s former centre of fast reactor research, where he was a senior project manager.
Selena Pearce moved from AECOM’s Manchester office, having been appointed as technical director, environment and ground engineering. With 25 years’ experience in environmental engineering and waste management, she will be responsible for growing the company’s expertise across a range of environmental disciplines.
Carole Hastings, regional director at AECOM, said: “Graham and Selena bring valuable skills and experience to our growing team in Cumbria. Their appointments augment our presence in the region, where we support private and public sector clients across a range of sectors with technical consultancy and project and programme delivery.”
AECOM has maintained a base in Cumbria for more than 25 years.
