ABS Brymar relocates to Chorley with warehouse purchase

Advised by Colliers, industrial and commercial flooring specialist ABS Brymar Floors has purchased a 14,500 sq ft unit on Chorley North Industrial Park from Dickson & Seagrave Holdings for an undisclosed sum.

The flooring company will be relocating from its existing 10,500 sq ft unit on Sale’s Dane Road Industrial Estate to the Chorley property, which includes 8,100 sq ft of warehouse space, a 4,200 sq ft mezzanine floor and a 2,200 sq ft office.

Other occupiers at Chorley North, which is just off Junction 8 of the M61, include The Aquila Group, Ennis Paints, and Thompsons Packaging.

ABS Brymar is the freeholder of the site in Sale, and Colliers has it under offer for a lease agreement to an undisclosed party. Dickson & Seagrave was advised by joint agents Eckersely and WT Gunson on the sale of the Chorley warehouse.

The deal was one of four Colliers’s industrial team has completed in the last few months.

Advising Astley Park Estates, the company has let a 16,000 sq ft unit at the Astley Park Estate to Excel Trade Frame at £4/sq ft on a 10-year lease, and has also sub-let 2,800 sq ft of industrial space at Millfield Business Park in Haydock to MV Commercials on a year-long lease, on behalf of RMD Kwikform.

Colliers has also let 6,100 sq ft of space at Longford Trading Estate in Stretford to Consumable Direct on behalf of Millfield Estates. The deal is a short-term lease worth £24,000 per year.

Laura Wilbourn, surveyor, industrial and logistics at the Manchester office of Colliers International, said: “The successful completion of these deals reflects a demanding market with clients seeking ever better premises tailored to their specific requirements, so it pays to be patient, persistent, diligent and effective to ensure such transactions get over the line.”
