Merseytravel launches £250m framework contest
Liverpool city region's passenger transport organisation has started the formal procurement process for the multi-disciplinary framework for the next four years as it gears up for another development programme.
A broad range of lots will cover jobs under project management, highways, surveying, architectural, engineering, urban planning, landscape engineering, scientific and technical consulting, testing and analysis services.
Up to 100 firms are expected to be appointed in total to work on sites as diverse as tunnels, rail track, naval architecture, highways, buildings, bridges and other infrastructure.
Merseytravel is midway through a station renewal programme and recently published a 30-year blueprint for further redevelopment and expansion of the network into Cheshire and North Wales.
Merseytravel's estate comprises of offices, bus stations, ferry terminals, public attractions such as Space-port and the U-boat experience, engineering workshops, bus and rail park and ride facilities, both the Kingsway and Queensway Mersey Tunnels and ventilation stations and public spaces.
The deadline for expressions of interest and requests for documents to apply in full is 4pm on Friday 31 October.
