MAG seeks partners for £548m capital works package
Construction and rehabilitation of concrete and asphalt airside infrastructure at Manchester Airport and the group’s two other airports is one of the key components of the programme.
Manchester Airport Group is looking to appoint contractors and consultants to a £548m framework to deliver a five-to-eight-year capital investment programme at Manchester, East Midlands, and Stanstead airports.
Tender documents for the opportunity state that MAG wants to appoint “key consultants & contractors to develop and establish a collaborative, engaged and dynamic partnership, built on a culture of openness, transparency and a shared commitment to deliver the Capital Pipeline”
There are five available slots available on the framework valued between £44m and £185m.
Design survey, monitor, prioritise, RIBA 1-2 design, RIBA 3-4 design, client design guardianship – £51m
Asset condition surveys to support capex investment decisions.
PQ concrete major rehabilitation works – £185m
The complete construction of or rehabilitation of airside infrastructure including taxiways, stands, aprons and runways.
Asphalt major rehabilitation works – £81m
The complete construction of or rehabilitation of airside infrastructure including taxiways, stands, aprons and runways.
AGL install – £44m
Installation of electrical cabling infrastructure to support aeronautical ground lighting.
Planned renewals / reactive support – £185m
