LSH confirms residential land deals

Lambert Smith Hampton has reported two major sales of former industrial works to residential developers in Cheshire and Lancashire.

In the first deal, representing Parkgate Properties, LSH sold Cheadle Bleachworks on Mill Lane, Cheadle to JCS Homes.

The £2.75m sale follows five years of negotiations with Stockport council to redevelop the brownfield site, in the heart of the Green Belt, two minutes from Cheadle town centre and five minutes from Didsbury.

The two-acre site, alongside the Alexandra Hospital, will deliver town houses and apartments surrounded on three sides by Green Belt land and water.

The second deal involved towel manufacturer Chortex selling former works on Bury New Road in Bolton to Jones Homes.

The eight-acre site was sold for over £7m for the development of mixed-tenure homes. Chortex relocated within the borough.
