Latest occupier signs at £142m Time Square
Gravity Active Entertainment, a family entertainment provider with sites in Leeds, Milton Keynes and Norwich, has become the latest tenant to commit to the Warrington retail and leisure scheme with a 31,000 sq ft leasing deal.
The company has signed to occupy the market building on Horrocks Street for 15 years and aims to open the Warrington site by the end of the year.
Fit-out work on the building, which will be Gravity Active’s first North West outlet, is expected to start next month.
The building was previously used as a temporary home for the town’s market traders ahead of the planned opening of the £12m market hall on Bridge Street next Monday.
Gravity Active’s centre will feature trampolines, the Clip ‘n’ Climb concept, a ninja course with drop slides, a soft play area, social darts and a sports simulator, as well as a café and bar.
The Time Square development is being delivered by Warrington & Co, the council’s regeneration agency, and Muse Developments as development manager.
The project features a 13-screen Cineworld cinema and 70,000 sq ft of bars and restaurants, and is home to Warrington Council’s 103,000 sq ft new office and a 1,160-space car park.
Leon Guyett, development director at Muse Developments, said: “The signing of Gravity highlights that, despite these unprecedented times, there is growing confidence in the market for high-quality and innovative schemes.
“Working collaboratively with partners, we have been able to bring a new vibrancy and purpose to the heart of Warrington…that will benefit the town for years to come.”
Michael Harrison, co-founder and chief operating officer of Gravity Active, added: “Gravity isn’t just for kids, it’s also a great experience for adults too, as the venue will change as the day progresses to cater for older visitors.”
Metis Real Estate Advisors was the letting agent for Warrington & Co and Muse Developments. Savills acted for Gravity Active.
