GVA hires six and promotes two
The commercial property adviser said that strong activity in the market has seen a need to create more positions for its Norfolk Street office.
Tristan Wooller has been hired as a senior surveyor for the industrial team and has 15 years’ experience in the sector. He will provide additional capability to director Andy Pexton and associate Ruth Leighton. Wooller returns to the UK having worked for four years in Kazakhstan at Cushman & Wakefield’s Almaty office.
Fergus Lowry joined in August as a building surveyor. Before this, he spent four years from August 2013 at the Emerson Group as a graduate building surveyor.
This month sees two promotions, with Elaine Glasgow promoted to senior building surveyor after joining GVA last year as technical manager, and Matt Jones promoted to surveyor for the investment team, a year after he joined GVA as a valuation consultant.
GVA said that the growing demand of service has led to the hires, which brings the Manchester team to 135 staff.
Other hires from the year include Andy Brooks who joined as a senior quantity surveyor in July. He was previously senior cost manager at Turner & Townsend from 2005 until 2017.
Rhian Griffiths joined as a quantity surveyor in June, and before this worked as an assistant surveyor for Expedite from January 2016 until February 2017.
Ella Woodward took up a graduate surveyor position in June for the planning, development and regeneration department, having previously worked as a graduate surveyor for Colliers International from August 2015.
Toby Bolton was offered a job after completing a work placement at GVA and has joined the team as a surveyor for rating.
