Contractor ADT Workplace has wrapped up the fit-out of the workspace provider’s 22,000 sq ft offering at 11 York Street.

Gilbanks now offers its tenants office space over two floors, as well as on site facilities including a business lounge, meeting rooms, and sound-proof video call booths.

Project manager Jones Hargreaves led the five-month fit-out process.

Aviva Investors owns the 80,000 sq ft 11 York Street, which also offers access to an events space and a sky suite with city views. The building reached practical completion in November 2021.

Gilbanks signed up to occupy part of the building last September, joining Rolls-Royce who signed a deal for a 10,000 sq ft space in June last year.

Alex Duckett, managing director at Gilbanks, commented: “It’s fantastic to reach practical completion for our new Manchester base, which is perfectly designed as a productive workspace for professional people…

“This is a premium full-service concept which has the ability to attract dynamic, exciting companies to the city.”

Nick Twigg, partner at Jones Hargreaves in Manchester, added: “We’ve worked hard to create and deliver a luxury office space which can be tailored to the needs of tenants, who can proudly welcome their employees and visitors to this thriving area of the city.

“Manchester’s office market is booming at the moment, there is plenty of activity with no signs of a slowdown.”

Elsewhere in Manchester, Jones Hargreaves recently completed the refurbishment of 42 Fountain Street, which offers more than 22,000 sq ft of office space across seven storeys.

I’m just waiting for Dan Cal to come on next and give us the usual ‘but the office is dead everyone is working from home.’ Nice location, wish I worked there.
