Event host signs for floor in 11 Portland Street
Event space operator ETC Venues has taken a 20,000 sq ft floor within 11 Portland Street, in order to open its first Manchester site by October.
ETC has taken the eighth floor on a 10-year lease. The company offers a location for daytime and evening corporate events, across 15 flexible rooms, including space for up to 300 delegates in theatre style. ETC also offers on-site dining, and a bar.
Landlord Aviva is currently refurbishing 11 Portland Street, delivering offices at a quoted rent of £22.50/sq ft.
Savills and Cushman & Wakefield acted for Aviva, and TSG Property Consultants acted for ETC Venues.
Dominic James, operations head for ETC Venues in Manchester, said: “This inward investment in Manchester is a significant expansion for us in the UK events market. We’re on a mission to help organisations create memorable experiences for their staff and clients and we’ve always wanted to commit to Manchester. Longstanding clients have been telling us for years that they want city centre spaces in this area with natural daylight and they want something different, stylish and well-connected. So here we are, putting the contemporary back into conferences.”
