E3P launches acoustics division

The consultant has hired Lee Faulkner from REC to head up its newly-formed acoustics division, based in Manchester.

Faulkner previously spent six-and-a-half years at REC, first as a senior acoustic consultant then as a principal. Before this, he worked for Wardell Armstrong as an environmental scientist.

He will lead E3P’s nationwide acoustics team from its Manchester office in Eccles; the consultant also has offices in Edinburgh and London.

The addition of an acoustics function adds another service to E3P’s portfolio. The company currently offers geotechnical and environmental site investigation, urban regeneration strategies, due diligence, environmental impact assessments, and ecology services.

Faulkner said: The offering of Acoustic services further enhances the extensive capability at E3P which now offers the complete environmental package for clients.

“I always look to provide a holistic and pragmatic approach to noise and vibration for all sites. This includes giving detailed solid advice at the outset of a project to advise on any potential issues without delaying the project or causing issues at the planning stage.”
