Bolton to lead Carter Jonas’s Manchester expansion
Harry Bolton has been appointed a partner and head of planning and development in Manchester for the consultancy.
Bolton has joined Carter Jonas after a decade with CBRE, where he was a director on its national planning and development team. In addition to the years spent at CBRE, he also worked at Deloitte and Drivers Jonas. Bolton’s past clients have included Ask Real Estate, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Stockport MBC, Muse, and the University of Liverpool.
Regarding his new position, Bolton said: “I’m really excited by the opportunity to grow Carter Jonas’ business in Manchester and bolster our proposition across the North West of England and North Wales.”
Carter Jonas’ Manchester division is operating out of Bruntwood’s Bloc building off Spring Gardens in the city centre. Bolton will be working alongside fellow Carter Jonas partner and head of science and technology, Matt Lee, at the Manchester office.
It likely will not be a duo for too much longer, with the property consultancy saying it was looking to grow its Manchester team.
Bolton elaborated on that point: “We’re looking forward to creating an ambitious, capable, and collaborative team, bringing together individuals with a deep understanding of the area and its real estate requirements, committed to meeting client needs and contributing to the region’s vibrant and dynamic environment.”
While this is Carter Jonas’s first Manchester office, it is not its first North West one. The firm already operates out of Warrington.
“Carter Jonas’ expansion into Manchester is an exciting development in our strategic growth, as we reinforce our presence in core markets and regions,” said chief executive Richard Bruce.
He added later: “Having established strong foundations in the region, we are pleased to set up an office in the heart of Manchester. Harry and Matt have an exceptional network of contacts and comprehensive market knowledge.
“From our new space, we can fulfill current mandates whilst pursuing opportunities requiring on-the-ground support.”
Carter Jonas was created in 1855 in Cambridge. Since then it has grown into a national business with 34 offices and more than 1,000 staff. The company offers services related to planning, valuations, estate management, and capital markets. In addition to its North West locations, Carter Jonas also has offices in Leeds, Bangor, York, and Harrogate. Carter Jonas is headquartered in London.
